Giveaway: Team Human by Sarah Rees Brennan and Justine Larbalestier

You guys hear about the vampire parody that Sarah Rees Brennan and Justine Larbalestier wrote?

Either way, check out the summary and enter to win a copy of my ARC :).  I'll be posting my review of this novel closer to the review date.

Release Date: July 3, 2012
Published by: Harper Teen

Just because Mel lives in New Whitby, a city founded by vampires, doesn’t mean she knows any of the blood-drinking undead personally. They stay in their part of town; she says in hers. Until the day a vampire shows up at her high school. Worse yet, her best friend, Cathy, seems to be falling in love with him. It’s up to Mel to save Cathy from a mistake she might regret for all eternity!

On top of trying to help Cathy (whether she wants it or not), Mel is investigating a mysterious disappearance for another friend and discovering the attractions of a certain vampire wannabe. Combine all this with a cranky vampire cop, a number of unlikely romantic entanglements, and the occasional zombie, and soon Mel is hip-deep in an adventure that is equal parts hilarious and touching.

  5. I'm with Claire-Louise, I love the title. It's kind of empowering and makes me want to dorkily fist-pump :P

I also liked The Demon's Lexicon, so I'm game for trying another one of her books (which, for some reason I didn't realize she was one of the authors until now).

  18. I think that the thing that most excites me about this novel is that it's about vampires. There was a huge vampire craze and then it dwindled, so I've been wanting to get back into reading books about them. Plus, I have heard nothing but positively amazing things about the book, which makes me want to get my hands on it so much more.
