Sadie-Hawkins Sunday at Reader of Fictions is the first feature I saw with this option, and I wanted to introduce something similar here. (Thank you to Christina for allowing me to modify your feature.) It gives YOU the chance to choose what I read.
On what to recommend:
- The book should be easily accessible (please!), so that I can freely obtain a copy from my local library or from an e-reader application... unless I already own the book in which case: yay! and unless you want to lend me the book in which case: yay!
- I would really prefer if you stick with YA or adult titles with crossover potential (please no erotica! etc.). Do not recommend your own book. This is the only type of review request I am accepting at the moment, so please do not take advantage of that.
- It would also be wonderful if you chose something you actually think I'll like... (what do I like? check my review archive if you're curious or the books that define me as a YA reader.)
- Ultimately, if the book is too hard to obtain or outside of these guidelines or I've already read it, etc. etc., I retain veto power over your recommendation.

Ooh, this is a really nice idea for a feature =)
ReplyDeleteOh cool! This is a good idea except for those who want to prank you and rec a book they hated lol
ReplyDeleteAh, but it's not completely my idea. Christina of A Reader of Fictions is brilliant--came up with this feature for her blog--and is gracious enough to let others like me adapt it for our blogs.
ReplyDeleteOh no!!! I hope no one does that. I haven't gotten any recs like that yet, but I do know a lot of people recc'd books to Christina of A Reader of Fictions just to read her snark on it.
ReplyDeleteSo, I gave you a recommendation :D
ReplyDeleteYAYAYAY :). And I actually already own that book, so double the awesomeness!
ReplyDeleteIt's faith!
