Blogoversary Celebration & Giveaway

So technically my blogoversary has already passed. I think. I remember starting this blog in early March of 2011, so it's been three years now. I don't even know if you *can* count this as three years. Up until last summer, I was pretty passive about blogging. Not that I'm much better now, hahaha, but I'd like to think that I've gotten to know some of you better and that we're friends. I love chatting with my fellow bloggers and readers. To thank you for following this blog, I've got a little giveaway (ends 04/16) down below.

Seriously, any comments on my blog - what you'd like more of, what you want less of - would be appreciated. And thanks for following my blog! Y'all are the best :).

  1. Congratulations on your blogoversary Christina! I love reading your bookish rounds posts, as I'm always so out of the loop, and this way I get to know everything all at once! I wish there's many more wonderful years of blogging for you to come!

  2. I'm not here to enter the giveaway, just to say happy blogoversary! I think you're doing brilliantly over here, especially because I know you're still a busy person. If anything, I'll admit I miss your discussion posts. They have always been so insightful and fun to read, and I feel like I don't see them as much anymore. But that won't stop me from visiting :)

    1. Dawww, thank you, Asti. Admittedly some part of me no longer feels entirely capable of discussion posts. Like I'm not interested in writing about the topics that I might have posted about before o.o. Maybe that'll change soon. But I'm glad you say this won't keep you from visiting :D.

  3. I always love reading reviews. It helps me determine whether I'd read the book, and I like hearing what other bloggers such as yourself have to say about a certain book. I also like how you setup your reviews.

    1. Thanks, Chelsea! Glad to hear it. I sometimes consider doing away with that entire setup, so good to know that some people still do like it!

    1. I knoooow. I have to come back and be a better commenter. I'm taking a major test in the beginning of April, but am hoping that once that's through, I'll be able to catch up again.

And re: notifications -- There's a little checkbox in the bottom right corner of the blogger comment box. It should work :). I think I tested it out when I first did away with Disqus...

  8. Cheers! Happy Blogoversary! Im glad I found your blog cause your reviews help me a lot.Although am not your typical follower cause I dont comment often.I cannot afford to buy all the books I want.So reading reviews help me decide if I should buy a particular book or not.

The only thing I'd change if possible is to put on a pic of the books you are reading now within you currently Reading section if possible.
    Congrats on the Blogaversary xx

    1. Thanks, Jeanz! I actually don't make any circular buttons - they're all a part of the layout that someone else coded :D. But I'm glad you like them -- I'm with you, also needing someone else when it comes to most coding. I'd love to put a pic in Currently Reading, though I wonder whether the sidebar will then be too large?

  37. Congratulations on three years!! I'm personally a big fan of your MBTI and mini-book review roundups (though I enjoy the longer ones as well). I'm sure the MBTI one is tricky, especially with shorter books or series where secondary characters aren't developed as much, but I would definitely be curious to see more of those :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yay!! I'm still on the fence about the MBTI feature since making the graphic + doing the categorizations takes a lot longer than it looks, but I'm glad to hear that some people enjoy it :D.

My favorite thing about your blog is how involved you are. I've been a follower for quite a while (and I know you've followed me for quite a while too). I take your reviews seriously because you interact with me so much through comments on my own blog. I'm great at replying there, but for whatever reason I'm the suckiest comment backer on other people's blogs. I'm so sorry for this! lol
