My birthday is this Thursday, the 28th aka Thanksgiving here in the states. For the past five years, I've gotten depressed around then; November is one of the worst months for me. I can't tell you why -- I have absolutely no reason to complain or feel that way, yet I do. And who feels that way around her birthday? I know. So I want to focus on something else this year.
I was born on a Thanksgiving Thursday and here it is again, so now it's time to look more closely at my life and give alms before anything else. I'm thankful for my family and friends and for all the love that I've been fortunate enough to receive. I'm thankful for all the good and bad experiences, for they've shaped into who I am today. I may not be strong enough to recognize the good in the bad right when it happens, but I am always working on becoming a better person, and I'm thankful to have that chance. I'm thankful for all the opportunities that I've been given and for all those who've helped me reach for them. I'm thankful for y'all and the support that you too have given me. I'm thankful that you've taken time out of your day to read this. This list will never be complete, but so it goes.
If you're in the states: Happy Thanksgiving! If you're not: have a fantastic Thursday!
And if nothing else, let me share my love of reading with y'all in this bookstore gift card giveaway. It won't end until 12/24 - consider it a winter break one too.
Thank you.

Hey you! If you have trouble celebrating on Thursday, know that I'm thinking of you and I'll eat a cake or a cupcake in your honor in one of my school's cafeterias ;) Heh. I hope that your bday is wonderful nevertheless and here's me hugging you a thousand times :) x

ReplyDeleteI usually feel depressed around the month of my birthday and the month leading to my birthday as well. No clue why, other than the fact that I am getting older, lol. Mine was just last Wednesday and this year it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Hopefully yours is just as good. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday :)
